The Latin American Design Awards recognize the excellence of the best graphic works produced during the year by designers, studios, creatives and visual artists from all over Latin America.
We're floored by Desolas luxe design that combines a painted bottle with a gold embossed logo that speaks to the sophistication of the Mezcal inside of them.
Desolas is a brand that is inspired by traditional time-honored techniques of mezcal production, the artisanal process of crafting the agave spirit, the natural elements of the sun and the land, and a focus on the deliberate journey of creation and discovery.
The night brought out young patrons of art and fashion and everyone arrived at the ground floor of the museum with lots of options. Stay in the lobby sipping cocktails from Tito’s, Desolas Mezcal, or Quinn Rosé; head downstairs to a full-on dance party orchestrated by Angel + Dren, or tour the galleries where Rembrandt's self-portraits and Vermeer’s genre paintings populate the walls.

Desolas Mezcal has partnered with outwear brand The Arrivals and luxury cashmere brand Active Cashmere. Over the weekend, the three brands hosted an intimate twenty-person dinner with Soho House in snow Aspen, Colorado. Desolas launched their collaboration with The Snow Lodge, a winter time entertainment concept with The St. Regis Aspen.
Desolas Mezcal, an artisanally crafted spirit that is thoughtfully produced from 100 percent Salmiana Agave, has inked a distribution deal with Savannah Distributing Company Inc. effective immediately for Georgia.
The festivities began, as is the Aspen way, with a lively après-ski cocktail session, featuring music by DJ AMÉMÉ. From there, an intimate group of 20 tastemakers, fashion favorites and Aspen scene staples gathered at The Supper Club for dinner, hosted in partnership with Soho House, The Arrivals and Active Cashmere, who provided the chicest custom Desolas beanies for guests to sport
Over the weekend in a Narnia-esque winter wonderland was the Aspen Snow Ball. The black-tie event brought together music, fashion, and philanthropy to raise money for pediatric oncology. The weekend also included "Shopping for a Cause," an event with the French-Italian luxe down jacket and ski brand Moncler and Lugano Diamonds. Desolas Mezcal, founded by GG Mirvis, a women-owned brand provided the mezcal throughout the weekend.
For those drinkers looking to have their thirst quenched by a spicy and enticing recipe try a Roasted Yellow Bell Pepper featuring Desolas Mezcal, available at the Mayfair Grill’s fountain bar located in the recently reinvented Mayfair House Hotel and Garden. Desolas Mezcal grows in Oaxaca, Mexico, delicately hand crafted from the Salmiana Agave in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, creating a unique, low smoke mezcal with a botanical and fresh aroma.
Typically speaking, seeing a mezcal bottled at 40 percent ABV is a red flag, often leading to a palate that’s lacking concentration. Not here, though. Made from the Salmiana variety, this expression is bursting with underripe tropical fruit notes and has accents of stony minerals.
Thanks to the support of presenting partner Chopard, and co-presenting sponsors FARFETCH and Weber Boxer Group, the event was a resounding success, raising $2.5 million in support of Children’s Oncology Support Fund’s launch and dedication to the development of more effective therapies for pediatric cancer patients. Proceeds from the event will go to Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research. Additional sponsors included Champagne Bollinger, Casa Del Sol, Desolas Mezcal, DAOU Family Estates, The Snow Lodge Aspen, The St. Regis Aspen, Hendricks, Lugano Diamonds, and Aero who invited me to join.
So, you say you don’t like mezcal. Well, maybe! Or maybe you’re just drinking it wrong. If you’re having it in a cocktail, you’re probably getting a version that’s over-the-top smoky, a characteristic that’s often magnified in mezcals intended for cocktails so that the smoke stands out from the ingredients. And mezcal is so much more than smoke — it can, in fact, be made without any smoke.
Milk & Uni hosted its very first Supper Club at The Love You Gallery in Miami bringing together a crowd of Miami creatives for an evening of food, art and Desolas Mezcal.
